Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa{FPN} List Of Approved Higher National Diploma{HND} And National Diploma{ND} Programmes, Eligibility For Application, How To Choose A Course And Course Requirements For 2019/2020.



An important landmark in the development of the Polytechnic was the initial accreditation of all programmes in 1985 and commencement of Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in Business Administration and Management. Accountancy, Secretarial Studies as well as Town and Regional Planning also commenced HND programmes in the Year 1986. Subsequently, new programmes and departments were introduced and accredited for the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma respectively. In addition to the regular programmes, the Polytechnic has successfully introduced Part-time Diploma and Higher National Diploma as well as Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programmes.
At present, there are six (6) Schools and 28 departments.  In addition, processes for the commencement of new Diploma programmes in Mechatronics Technology, Foundry and Rail-tract Technology, as well as Higher National Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology (Instrumentation option), and Degree programmes are now in progress.

Note to HND PT students – All Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes shall run for six (6) semesters and lectures shall be conducted during the weekends, (Fridays-sundays) and such candidates are not eligible for NYSC mobilization.

The National Diploma (NDII) shall run for three (3) semesters, while the Polytechnic Diploma Programmes shall run for four (4) semesters.

ND:
Before An Aspirants Can Apply For Post Utme Admission, Such Aspirants Will Have Obtain 5 Credit Passes In The O level grades{WAEC/NECO} With Respect To Choice Of Course ie Candidates Apply For A Medical Course Are Not To Have Obtained 5 O level Credit Passes On Art Related Subjects.

2. Candidates MUST meet the minimum UTME scores for their chosen courses, have the right UTME subject combinations as prescribed in the JAMB Brochure and the requisite ‘O’ Level subjects at credit level.

How Can You Do To Obtain Admission Into Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa Undergraduate Diploma Programme.

Admission to the ND/Degree Undergraduate programme of  the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, is through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Candidates are expected to meet the required cut off score in the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Candidates are also required to note the institution UTME subjects for your choice of course.
